Seasonal Book Study: Resilient by Rick Hanson

Meet people of our rich community once a week over a 4-week period, bringing together a multitude of perspectives on topics aimed to foster a greater understanding of compassion, kindness, respect and identify personal and public ways to practice it regularly. Our book studies are conducted virtually as they offer several benefits compared to in-person meeting such as comfort and convenience, cost-effectiveness as participants can save on transportation costs and troubles driving through Houston’s traffic, larger outreach, and easy accessibility.

Grow an unshakable core of Resilient Well-Being and learn how to develop key inner strengths – like grit, gratitude, and compassion – to stay calm, confident, and happy no matter what life throws at you. With his trademark blend of neuroscience, mindfulness, and practical psychology, New York Times bestselling author and psychologist Dr. Rick Hanson (with Forrest Hanson) shows us how to deal with stress and pursue our dreams with a deep sense of capability and contentment.

Meets Thursday evenings July 11 - August 1 from 8PM - 9:30PM EST. Register here for this free online event. Please note, this event has been standardized to the Eastern Time Zone.
