The Compassionate Leadership Certification program runs 8 weeks, with one 90-minute session per week and one 1-hour long optional weekly discussion session. There are two cohorts, one for leaders in all disciplines and one specifically targeted for global health leaders. Our Compassionate Leadership in Global Health Certification runs on Tuesdays beginning 2/14/23, and our Compassionate Leadership Certification Program runs on Wednesdays beginning 2/15/23.

Inspirational Faculty
The Compassionate Leadership Certifications are led by an interdisciplinary team that includes our Executive Director Laura Berland and Chief Operating Officer Evan Harrel, who leads the Center’s thought leadership efforts and the development and delivery of the Center’s leadership training programs.
Kenya Casey, MSW, serves as senior faculty for the Center for Compassionate Leadership’s Certification programs. Ms. Casey is the Director of Global Safety and Security for Emory University, having previously served as senior associate director of Overseas Operations for The Carter Center Health Programs for 7 years
Additionally, our Global Health Certification Course faculty includes David Addiss, MD, MPH, a leader in the field of compassion in global health. He is currently the director of the Focus Area for Compassion and Ethics at the Task Force for Global Health. In addition, he is the founder and director of the Center for Compassion and Global Health.
